Erika Anderson

Erika brings over 25 years' experience in the IT industry with positions ranging from IT Project Management to Database Administration. She understands the complexities and challenges that public and private sector environments present to IT programs. She values strong partnerships with project leaders and team members inspired to deliver business value while adapting to change, discovering new capabilities while leaning business processes, and creating strategic roadmaps for applications to ensure long term organizational success.

Erika has worked in the public and private sector, including many Washington state agencies and the Office of the Chief Information Officer. Prior to returning to her hometown of Olympia, Erika worked in the Denver area for Charles Schwab, Inc, Dish Network, Accenture, and Atmel Corporation. Mid-career she was able to spend 3 years living in Germany with IT roles supporting the US Army.

Erika has a passion for learning and continually seeks new ideas on leadership, agile and waterfall methodologies, change management, systems usability, and new technologies. Erika has an MBA in Information Systems from the University of Colorado and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Washington. She holds both the Project Management Professional and the Agile Certified Practitioner certificates from the Project Management Institute, and is a certified Scrum Master and Product Owner.

Erika is a native Olympian who can be found outside in the garden or strolling the beach with her golden retriever, rain or shine. She enjoys travelling to see family and friends, spending time in creative pursuits of photography and quilting, and getting lost in a good novel.
