Project & Program Quality Assurance (QA)
ISG provides independent Program and Project Quality Assurance (QA) services for organizations delivering complex initiatives identifying risk early, strengthening project practices, and supporting informed decision‑making. Our QA professionals bring decades of experience across public sector programs and projects, offering a practical, collaborative approach tailored to each engagement.
Service Overview
ISG’s QA services go beyond traditional oversight. We partner closely with sponsors, project managers, and delivery teams while maintaining independence and objectivity. Through interviews, document reviews, and meeting observations, we assess project health across governance, scope, schedule, budget, risk, stakeholder engagement, and technical readiness, supported through delivery of Readiness Assessments, recurring QA Monthly/Quarterly Assessments, and Closeout Reports that provide structured insight across the project lifecycle. We synthesize findings into clear, actionable recommendations designed to improve delivery outcomes and reduce the likelihood of delays, rework, or failed implementations.
ISG emphasizes transparency and a no-surprises approach. We regularly brief project leadership, socialize emerging themes, and align reporting cadence with executive and steering committee needs. Whether supporting a single project or a multiagency program, ISG’s QA services provide the insight, structure, and confidence leaders need to navigate complexity and deliver results.
Engagement Snapshot
Statewide Benefits Program
ISG provided independent Quality Assurance services over a four-year period for a large-scale, statewide benefits program. As a first-of-its-kind initiative, the program required multiple public sector agencies to collaborate in delivering integrated systems, business processes, and services to collect employee contributions, maintain individual records, process applications, and administer benefits in accordance with legislative requirements.
Participating agencies operated with independent governance structures, varying software development methodologies, a mix of vendor and internal development teams, and diverse stakeholder groups. ISG's experienced QA professionals partnered with agency teams, executive sponsors, and cross-functional workgroups to implement program and project management best practices that enhanced communication, strengthened governance, and supported coordinated delivery while respecting each agency's operational independence.
Through ongoing oversight and collaboration, ISG helped identify critical dependencies, risks, and process gaps, providing actionable recommendations and objective insights that contributed to a successful on-time and on-budget production implementation.
